Speaking in Moscow – CGEvent – Russia

I’ve been deep in a few projects I can’t talk about now – but wanted to tell you I’ll be speaking at CGEvent in Moscow December 1st, covering our use of Cinema 4d and After Effects in screen graphics for films such as The Avengers, Rise of the Planet of the Apes and 2012.

Check it out!

Other speakers will be from Pixar, covering the effects in Brave, Sergei Nevshupa will be talking about his work on Avatar with Weta Digital, along with Eugene Vendrovsky from Rhythm & Hues discussing recent work on Life of Pi, Chronicle and Snow White & the Huntsman. There’s a ton of great presentations scheduled and I can’t wait to be a part of it!

Chelsea and I have always wanted to go to Russia – (and not just because the Cyrillic Alphabet looks pretty rad.) We’ve been getting our sub-zero boots and cold weather gear in order for the average 10-27°f temperatures. And of course we plan to ice skate in Gorky Park! We are going to spend another week there just touring around the city photographing, checking out local dj’s, bands and contemporary low-brow artists, and of course, making friends. If you’re around – hope to see you there!

  1. CGevent ended today. As a visitor of all main presentations I can verify that Jayse was the only speaker who had the queue for autograph signing.

  2. Congratulations Jayse!

Its truly inspiring to see your successes and the progression of your work. Keep it up man!

  3. It was very nice to see your presentation in Moscow. So amazing – the work that you do and how you explain it all is wonderful. I like that you use After Effects and Cinema 4d on big feature films and do stunning works with them. I look forward to seeing many more!

  4. Hello Jayse, excellent site! Is there a video of this event somewhere?

  5. As a participant of this presentation I can tell you it was so good! Thank you for all your explanations on how you did the Apes neurons and Iron Man HUD. I find very interesting what you do!

  6. yes we need a video! I haven’t seen one yet – but someone might have taken one.

  7. I really like your work, I am Designer Tecnologico of the UTN in Argentina and teacher. If you ever come by Argentina, I would like you to give a talk, about your work and invite you to a barbecue. A greeting. Carlos Maetakaya.
