Speaking in Moscow – CGEvent – Russia

I’ve been deep in a few projects I can’t talk about now – but wanted to tell you I’ll be speaking at CGEvent in Moscow December 1st, covering our use of Cinema 4d and After Effects in screen graphics for films such as The Avengers, Rise of the Planet of the Apes and 2012.

Other speakers will be from Pixar, covering the effects in Brave, Sergei Nevshupa will be talking about his work on Avatar with Weta Digital, along with Eugene Vendrovsky from Rhythm & Hues discussing recent work on Life of Pi, Chronicle and Snow White & the Huntsman. There’s a ton of great presentations scheduled and I can’t wait to be a part of it!

Chelsea and I have always wanted to go to Russia – (and not just because the Cyrillic Alphabet looks pretty rad.) We’ve been getting our sub-zero boots and cold weather gear in order for the average 10-27°f temperatures. And of course we plan to ice skate in Gorky Park! We are going to spend another week there just touring around the city photographing, checking out local dj’s, bands and contemporary low-brow artists, and of course, making friends. If you’re around – hope to see you there!
